Junior Red Cross Club

The Junior Red Cross Club of Nasr School tirelessly work to uphold the 3 aims of Junior Red Cross – Protection of Health and Life, Service to the Sick and Suffering and Promotion of National and International Friendship. The members work hard to arrange daily essentials for the people in the affected areas during emergency situations like floods and earthquakes, raise funds to help the under privileged sections of the society, old age homes and orphanages.

During the club meetings in school, members of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) are invited to educate children regarding hygiene, blood donation, basic first aid, CPR and self-defence. To raise funds for donations, food and game stalls are organised. Blankets, bed sheets, food grains, stationery, etc., are donated to the needy.

Visits to the old age homes and orphanages are taken up as an activity to instil instudentsvalues such as compassion towards lesser privileged sections of the society, humanitarianism and to learn to appreciate their families, friends and all the facilities that young adults often take for granted.

This academic year, members visited an orphanage for girls, ‘Guild of Service Sevasamaj’ and a school for special children named ‘Greens’atMasab Tank.

Red cross club believes that service is the ultimate act of solidarity.
