The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces engaged in developing the country’s youth into disciplined and patriotic citizens. It is a voluntary organization that recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India.
NCC was first introduced in 2020 in Nasr, and the students were recruited into the Senior Wing (SW) of the 7 Telangana (Girls) Battalion NCC. Now, the cadets are given training in various military drills, are introduced to rifle training, firing, putting up tents and basic military activities. NCC is a co-curricular subject that guides cadets into personal development, teaches leadership skills, and hones discipline.
Recently, the Junior Wing (JW) of NCC was also introduced for the students of class VIII.
